Tried last night w/ my grilled artichoke and grilled avocado:
1. Falernia PedroXimenez Reserva ElquiVlly/Chile (13%; www.Falernia.com) 2009: Light yellow color; rather stoney/earthy/metallic/steely light floral/carnations/spicy rather simple nose; tart light/lean/austere some earthy/stoney/metallic weak floral/grapefruity flavor; rather short light stoney/metallic light/lean/tangy somewhat thin/austere/eviscerated finish; some like an Albarino w/o the perfume, some like a Sardinian Vermentino but more acidity; pleasant enough at the price but doesn't have much to say to me. $8.00

And a wee BloodyPulpit:
1. The Falernia was a rec that Roberto gave me last Mon in the shop. Knowing that I like unusual/exotic wines, he described it as a pretty/little wine. It was...but just that. Actually rather decent w/ the grilled artichoke.
