WTN: Lurton Fumees Blanche Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Domaines Francois Lurton
Vin de Pays Comte Tolosan (Southwest France)

Almost clear, with just a hint of yellow, in the glass.

Gooseberry, very clean on the nose.

Very big flavours in the mouth, intense, tart green apple, gooseberry, a tangy lemon bite and loads of grapefruit, good nervy acidity, medium weight, whistle clean and very refreshing.

Like a garden after a spring rain.

Mouthwatering, bitter grapefruit and lemon rind and drying on the finish.

Bottle after bottle and vintage after vintage, this is, IMHO, the best QPR Sauvignon Blanc in Ontario.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $11.95 (Canadian).
