WTN Casillero del Diablo Carmenere 2008

Casillero del Diablo Carmenere Reserve 2008 Chile ($9.99)

This is my first WTN, and I am by no means an expert, if anyone else has had this wine, feel free to correct me.

Very dark in color, full bodied, mildly dry, blackberry is the strongest note, a fair amount of chocolate, and some spice but not over powering, plus a little black cherry and raspberry in there too.

Value: Not an awesome wine, but not bad for $10, I would buy again

Food Pairings Red meat dishes, chocolate, strong cheese

Find this wine in stores: This I'd say is one of the better wines you'd find in your average grocery store.

A notable aspect of many Carmeneres is a kind of green pepper, vegetable note. If you haven't already thrown away the empty bottle, see if you can still detect it from the bottleneck.
"I went on a rigorous diet that eliminated alcohol, fat and sugar. In two weeks, I lost 14 days." Tim Maia, Brazilian singer-songwriter.
