This Board (and others) love affari with Foillard has to stop! Okay, so why does the 08 suck?

Did I say the '08 sucked? It's clearly not as good, imho as the '07, but it doesn't suck. I'm not that enamored with the '08 vintage on a whole. I think the few I've tried, Brun (all), Foillard, Tete, Coquelet Chiroubles, Bouland Morgon VV just didn't hit many highs for me. I'm holding out for '09.

I've heard so many great things from my brokers, that '09 sems like the real deal. I'm hoping so. In any case I bought Brun and Coquelet for the restaurant and it sold well. The wines work with food so it's not too tough a sell. If you have had the chance to try the '07 Foillard, it's really just in a another league...again IMHO.
