It's my last membership. Around $100 seems to be the going rate for wine subscriptions, so I guess it's fair value. The forum there is very small, but there's no idiots there either, so it seems like a fair trade to me. For me, Tanzer's (and his associated athors) palate do the best job of approximating my own palate in the wide variety of sine regions they survey: far less grade inflation and no hommage to overripe, sweet syrup a la Parker.
I subscribe, and while I like Tanzer and Raynolds, I don't see the significant difference from Parker that John would indicate. Sure you can subtract 2 or 3 points most of the time, but that's just a number. He likes some mighty big wines the same as Bob.
