Hunter Valley.
Bright gold in the glass.
Light oak on the nose.
Lightweight, tart, lemon, tangy acidity, toast, vanilla, caramel, quite lean, mouthwatering.
Bitter citrus rind on the finish.
A very simple wine and not very interesting. I also found the juxtaposition between the tart and tangy lemon and the rich oak to be a bit off-putting. Strangley enough, my wife, who has a low tolerance for tart wines, said she really liked this. Go figure.
Screwcap closure.
Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian).
