Over the hill, oxidized, sucked! Unfortunately, I bought 4 bottles of the '06 Z-H Gewurz. I fear that all is lost. The good news is that this bottle pissed me off so much that I opened a 2002 Pouilly-Fuisse, which is reviewed in the "wine focus" thread.

It would be "interesting" to see if the other bottles are the same....

ZH makes a range of Gewurz'. I wonder which it was. Also, 2006 wasn't the best vintage IIRC. But still, I bet it was cooked along the way.

That's what I'm guessing, Harry. We drink the ZH Gewurz regularly and have never had a problem before.

Paul - I do plan to try the other bottles. We will probably open one in the near future. If it is oxidized I will probably just go ahead and dump the remaining bottles down the drain.

Wait till you see the prices of '07. You may be drinking less!
