TNR on two Oz Chardonnay

by Bruce Hayes » Sat May 01, 2010 1:48 pm

Was at my local LCBO this morning and took a chance on a couple of Aussie Chardonnay: Margan 2008 (Hunter Vvalley) and Ainsworth and Snelson 2004 (Yarra Valley).

Checked with a local wine critic when I got home and he claims both are crap.

Does anyone here have any experience with either of these wines? I searched for both on the site and came up empty.

Thanks.

Bruce
No personal experience (('ve had some Margan Semillon before but that's all). However the Ainsworth & Snelson operation sounds interesting. I've attached a link to the winery writeup on James Halliday's site:

Thanks. If Ainsworth and Snelson are good enough for the Royal Family, Tony Blair and the Dorchester, they should be good enough for me!!

Probably neither here not there but there's a cheap ($9.99) Oz Chardonnay available at the local organic supermarket from Hunter Valley that I think it outstanding.
