NYT: Oregon goes green?

by Mark Lipton » Fri Apr 30, 2010 10:46 am

Semi-interesting NY Times travel article on organic winemaking in the Willamette Valley.. Special mention of the Carlton Winemaker's Studio, one of my favorite stops, as well as Hamacher and several other wineries.

Oregon... green? Who knew!

I drive past these places on an almost daily basis. We're right in the middle of all that. Hamacher is very, very good. As is Cana's Feast right up the hill from the Winemaker's Studio. We like Andrew Rich also. Of course, we live in Amity - well, out a little in the Eola Hills. As far as "green" goes, both Domaine Drouhin and Lemelson have huge arrays of solar panels powering their wineries now. It's getting greener all the time.
