2005 Pali Wine Co. Pinot Noir Cargasacchi-Jalama Vineyard
This has come around nicely. It's less candied than in the past (though ths particular bottling was never the most candied of the '05s), and there's an earthiness emerging. There's still plenty of fruit, and the overall balance is fine. No alcohol, oak or anything else sticks out now. I enjoyed this very much with my marinated, grilled chicken. It made for a much more pleasant drinking experience than the sorry Morey-St-Denis I had Wednesday night.
