WTN: Orange crushed

2003 Azienda Agricola Stanislao Radikon Jakot Venezia Giulia IGT
Even the orange wines show their vintage (no shock there). In this case it's not a great thing, as I found this wine a touch volatile and also rather hot. Underneath all that is some alluring apricot/red fruit/mineral content but the balance is just not right, and I could not enjoy the wine for more than a few sips.

Or, alternatively, you might not be a fan of the Orange in general and need to send these wines back to their Syracuse fanbase

Actually I have liked many orange wines, despite my hatred of all teams Syracuse!

I have a 500ml of his Ribolla Gialla from the same vintage coming up soon, probably with similar results. Probably needs a long (like 12 hrs) decant.

I actually opened this bottle Monday & then re-tried it on Tuesday with similar results. It did not improve.
