WTN 2006 Lioco Indica

by Brian K Miller » Wed Apr 28, 2010 12:37 pm

Mostly old vine Carrignan from Mendocino County (Redwood Valley). Bright sweet berry fruit, smooth tannins, a delicious bitter edge and earthyness that adds complexity to the wine. No excess heat or oak. Great barbecue wine.

I haven't had that one but I am a fan of Lioco Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs.

They have a pricey single vineyard Sonoma Coast Chardonnay that I loved. I just didn't want to spend $40 :(

The Indica is only $16, so if one needs a simple, fruity picnic wine with some interest...it fits the bill rather nicely. :!:
