A good friend is traveling to Chile and is looking for the best of the best. These may or not be bottles available in the US. I have heard solid reports about LEYDA and PUNTA NOGAL. Has anyone tasted recent vintages of CASA MARIN or MONTGRAS NINGUA . Should my friend be on the lookout for specific vintages? Thanks to everyone for ideas!
I think you mean Montgras Ninquen. I think Ninquen is quite good, although I haven't had any recently. You could also check out Concha y Toro, especially Don Melchor and the Terrunyo series. Casa Lapostolle Clos Apalta also has a good reputation.
Three be the things I shall never attain: Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
