Beginning to show its cards on the aromatics, but this is still rather tightly wound on the palate. Perhaps it will always be a bit drying, but enjoy it for the Nebbiolo perfume.

Aromatically it's lovely, but I think it is always going to show somewhat tannic. There's more tannin than fruit.

I am looking forward to opening a bottle of the 2006 as they decided to not bottle the single vineyard wines despite the strength of the year (versus '99 when they did the riservas). Could be one heack of a normale!

Indeed! Unfortunately it was the 05 (still fine) that they gave us to taste in November, so no early peeks at the 06 so far, I think.
