While I dont have the whole story at hand, it is worth noting that the Seppeltsfield property in the Barossa Valley where the Seppely port production was centred for a long time, was sold a couple of years ago, along with the stock therein. The facility and stock is now owned by Kilikanoon. Kilikanoon have said they will uphold the Seppeltsfield tradition and continue to produce fortified wines, but I dont know how long that will last. I woudlnt be hopeful of seeing too many more Seppelt ports.
The Seppelt brand itself is now focused on Victoria, in particular the Great Western region, north west of Melbourne. Unfortunately the Fosters empire has finally got its fingers into Seppelt and some of their wines are now sadly not to the standard they were even 5 years ago.
If you like the Australian take on Tawny port, there are heaps of other options from the Rutherglen region which on the whole is far better known for its fortifieds. Baileys, Morris, Chambers, are just a few.
