DO Toro
100 per cent Tinta de Toro (a.k.a. Tempranillo)
Dark purple in the glass.
Soft, spicy, chocolate initially on the nose, which later changed to earthy and barnyard notes.
Good weight in the mouth, smooth, very tangy, tart and drying, raspberry, cherry, cranberry, currants, barnyard, red licorice, very spicy.
Very drying and tart on the finish.
A pretty good wine, ruined, IMHO, by excessive acidity.
Purchased at $17.95 (Canadian) and not good QPR.
