by TomHill » Wed Apr 07, 2010 12:33 pm

Tried last night from my new shipment:
1. Peay Estate Chard SonomaCoast (13.7%; 330 cs; www.PeayVineyards.com) 2008: Light yellow color; ripe very floral/perfumed/carnations/almost R-like/melony/Chard/pear some minerally/chalky/steely light pencilly/oak beautiful nose; very tart light earthy/minerally/chalky ripe/melony/Chard/floral slight pineapply/citric light toasty/pencilly/oak slight spicy/nutmeg complex lovely flavor; very long/lingering some minerally/earthy/steely strong ripe/melony/Chard/floral light pencilly/oak finish; a beautiful Chard that speaks both of Chard and Peay. $50.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is an absolutely delicious Chard w/ wonderful balance & structure. Terrific now, I suspect that this'll go out at least 10 yrs.
