WTN: Alta Falanghina 2008

by Bruce Hayes » Sat Mar 27, 2010 10:46 am

IGT Puglia
Cantine Teanum

Very bright yellow in the glass.

Smoky, vanilla, spicy, honey, white flowers, citrus fruit on the nose.

Medium weight, salty, lemon, tangerine, a light bitter streak, good acidity, floral, lightly creamy, very clean, light citrus rind.

Spicy, lemon, mouthwatering on the finish.

A very impressive wine.

Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian) and very good QPR.

Thanks, Bruce.

I really like Falanghina, and it's good to see some tasty ones coming from places other than Campania---gives a little variety, and a little choice.
