WTN: Hope Chardonnay 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Fri Mar 26, 2010 7:10 pm

Hunter Valley, New South Wales

Deep yellow in the glass.

Very spicy, caramel on the nose.

Medium weight, creamy, pear, lemon, green apple, light citrus rind, peppery, good acidity, caramel, viscous, creamy.

Mouthwatering, with a mild bitter streak on the finish.

A wine that shows oak influence, but with enough acidity to keep things clean and refreshing.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian).
