WTN: Tsinandali Oak Aged 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Mar 21, 2010 6:54 pm

Kakheti, Georgia
Teliani Valley
100 per cent Rkatsiteli

Very light yellow in the glass.

A bit of sulphur initially on the nose, followed by floral notes and creamy.

Light to medium bodied, moderate oak influence, pears, lemon, green apples, los of toast, lightly creamy, good acidity, clean, spicy, floral, rich and impressive.

Clean, green apple, toasty oak and mouthwatering on the finish.

I have tried a couple of Rkatsiteli wines during the course of my wine life (usually from New York wineries), but this is the first Georgian wine I have ever tried.

Purchased at $11.95 (Canadian) and an incredible QPR.
