TN: My Gascogne white works well with shrimp and mussells!

WTN: `07 Domaine La Hitaire Les Tours, Remy Grassa. Vin de Pays des Cotes de Gascogne.

For Alberta, a bargain at $11 Cdn! 10.5% alc, SC, 65% Ugni Blanc, 30% Colombard, 5% Gros Manseng. Two sons now run this well-respected domaine.

The color is a medium lemon, no green tints noted. On the nose I get floral notes, tangy citrus, herbal and "pear "from across the table. Could not find the musk one reads about with these Gascony whites?
Bring out the shrimp and mussels! Bracing acidity, dry, non-tropical fruit, crisp citrus/grapefruit. "I find no tropical fruit here at all" thinks my fellow drinker. Some earthy tones day 2 plus dried apricots, tart all-rounder. What a bargain for the money. Serve this blind with a few muscadets and fool them.
