Last of three bottles purchased about four years ago, and the best by far. Cork saturated about 3/4's, but it came out whole and clean. Medium brownish-maroon color. Nose of old rare books, stale cigar smoke and dried plums. On the palate, funky plums, dirt and dried rose petals. Good body and finish for its age with balanced acidity and still some tannins. Quite a good bottle of wine, if a bit brawny for the delicate veal stew I paired it with.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
