2008 Dry Creek Vineyards, Chenin Blanc Clarksburg (Wilson Vineyard) This was actually quite nice! Bone dry, somewhat minerally, with that edge of funkyness that I find in some CBs. Nice summer quaffer.

2004 Plumpjack Winery St. Helena Cuvee. Pretty nice Napa Valley Cabernet. Dark, roasted blackberry fruit, but there remains a green edge which provides some freshness. More importantly, the oak did not coat my mouth like a film! And...there was the nice blast of anise in the flavor profile to keep the wine honest! A solid B/B+ effort!
