WTN: 2006 Smith and Hook Cabernet Sauvignon

Central Coast.

QPR California Cab here. Black currant, black fruit, black raspberry with hints of clove and mocha. Deeply flavored, balanced and a good food wine. $22. No heat detected from the 14.8% Alc/vol.

Haven't seen a bottle of Smith and Hook in ages, never was any better than mediocre as I remembner.

I was similar to you, Lou, but thought "what the heck". Turned out to be a nice surprise.
