I recently opened my first bottle of wine from Mexico; it was a gift from a co-worker. The 2005 Ch. Camou Flor de Guadalupe Vino Tinto (13.6% ABV) is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon-Cabernet Franc-Merlot from Baja California. It is dark, with a rich bouquet; the dark fruit flavors are very good and it has a nice long finish with some sweet French oak on the palate. It also has enough acid and tannin to age a few more years. Very impressive.
