WTN: 2008 Wild Rock "Elevation" Sauvignon Banc

Marlborough New Zealand.
91% sauvignon blanc, 5% viognier and 3% Riesling.

From the Craggy Range folks a very nice SB. Very pale light celery in the glass. Flavors of grapefruit and lime with hints of peach and mineral. The citrus is not laser beam focused as in some SB's, but subtle. The finish is persistent. 13% Alc/vol. Had it on special at my favourite haunt @ $9.99. Paired it with my "famous" seafood risotto and shrimp. Nice pairing.

I have not had the SB but I really like the PN for the price. Nothing earth shattering but for under $20 it is a nice light-middle weight wine with good fruit and just a touch of earth.
