WTN: `01 Schubert Syrah Martinborough.

Here are some notes from Salil I found on the internet.

Clear dark red colour lightening at the rim. Great nose shows intense black and white pepper aromas mingled with plum, red fruits, smoke, leather and well integrated oak. Medium bodied and elegant on the palate with spicy red fruits, black pepper and leather flavours, good acidity and fine grained tannins. Finishes with good length, although there's just a touch of warmth on the finish.

Salil, I was fortunate to find a bottle open this afternoon at DeVines downtown. Bill, one of the staff, had one in his cellar. Very delicious, typical syrah nose and still plenty of fruit/grip/complexity.
Quite divine! Your notes are spot on as usual.
