2004 Boutari Moschofilero (aka Moscophilero) from the Mantinia in Greece. This was a rather light, yet very crisp and very fruity specimen. Great chilled on the deck on a hot day.
2004 Whidbey Island Siegerrebe from the Puget Sound region of Washington. I thought this was a lovely, dry Gewurztraminer, but it had a slightly pink tint. Turns out this is a hybrid of Gewurztraminer and Madeleine Angevine, a red table grape. It was nicely made and went very well with Maryland-style crab cakes with red pepper aoli. Very appealing to aroma junkies ... like me.
