WTN: `06 Steele Carneros Pinot Noir...from 375 ml bottle.

Not very often I pick up a half bottle but Nick at DeVines downtown said "try this Bob after work, chill slightly".

13.5% alc, $11 after staff discount, opened and poured after half-hour of airing.

The color is a translucent ruby, hint of light brick on a watery rim.
Nose is cherry, raspberry, little cola. No funk and still aromatic after 3 hrs.
Initial entry thoughts were off-dry, no tannins, cherry, white chocolate.
Find this wine quite appealing but I am no PN expert!
Very good length, medium-bodied, blueberry as I enter hour 3 and last glass. Good squirt of acidity lingers, hope this TN has done the wine justice!

I've found Steele Carneros Pinot Noir to be reliable and sometimes terrific. I remember one we ordered at a restaurant in Sanibel, FL that was not the vintage I had requested, but when the bottle was opened, the aroma just wafted across the whole table and we all loved that bottle. (I also like his some of his Zinfandels including the Catfish Zinfandel from Lake County which is a lighter colored, lighter bodied Zin with its own charm.)

Thanks JC. The nose was lovely, gonna pick up some more tomorrow. A local restaurant has it on the wine list and I know the store that carries it!!
