WTN: Chateau Coulonge Blanc 2008

by Bruce Hayes » Mon Jan 11, 2010 9:42 am

AC Bordeau Sec
Daniel & Nicolas Roux

100 per cent Sauvignon Blanc

Light, bright yellow in the glass.

Gooseberry, lemon on the very clean nose.

Gooseberry, lemon, a hint of tangerine, fleshy, pine resin, spicy, good tangy acidity, medium weight, slightly grassy-herbal, full in the mouth, clean and refreshing, a streak of bitter citrus rind, quite rich.

Tangy, mouthwatering, with bitter lemon peel on the finish.

Quite nice and good value for the money.

Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian).
