Toscana.
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 10% Cab Franc and 10% Sangiovese.

This was a whale of a deal for this quality. Dark purple in the glass, Modern in style showing currant, blackberry and dark berry flavors with hints of licorice, oak and mineral. Full bodied and showing fine grained tannins throughout, it has a long finish showing some stemmy red berry notes. Needs several years to show well and is tasty now needing a couple of hours of decant. I decanted for 1 hour. Paired very well with Osso Buco. 14% Alc/vol.
$13.74 case buy.

Hi Drew,

I bought a half case of this wine recently, though I did not get quite as good a deal as you got. I agree with your assessment. I decanted about an hour before serving and it was still tight. Needs a minimum of two hours right now and I think 3 to 4 would be even better. In 2 to 3 years this big boy will be drinking real nice :D .
