I've got some gravners from 98 and through to 2002. I've always thought of these wines as a highly structured and "tough" wine that might be able to stand some aging but when I read the Wine Spect writeups (not that I place much on that writing), they've noted that Gravners are generally short term drinking. So I'm confused. I love these wines and I just had a 98 which did not seem at all old to me but because they are not cheap, I don't want to keep them past their peak if they are indeed short term drinking. Any help from those with much more experience would be appreciated! Many thanks!

I don't have much experience but if you come to Cambridge, I can give you some help drinking
More seriously, general consensus seems to be that these are not 20 year wines but then his style has changed so much over the past 20 years it can be hard to say.
Many thanks for that information Rahsaan. I agree. Maybe I'll look out for the next Boston area offline and bring one of these over! It would be good to finally meet you after reading all your posts all these years.
