WTN: 2007 Chateau Mont Redon Cotes du Rhone

Another very approachable 07 CDR, maybe too much so. Dark purple/red in the glass. Flavors of sweet dark berry, Chambord liqueur, herbs, black pepper and liquorice. The wine drinks very easy from first pour, not flabby, but needs a tad more backbone. That being my only complaint as the flavors are moderately complex and the finish is lingering and satisfying. I've been collecting many cases of 07 CDR's but I wonder as to their age ability...they're so approachable now. 14.5% Alc/vol. Paid $16 but I think you can find it lower.

Thanks for notes. I'm a fan of Mont Redon for CdP, but never remember seeing the CdR. Sounds pretty good to me!
