One of my favourite whites for nearly a decade now.
Clear light straw, with a pale yellow-green glint. The warm 2007 vintage produced a less tight, more open nose that's lacking the typical definition of the cooler-vintage examples of this same wine. Faint pineapple and light citrus rind emerge with swirling; there's also a very distant whiff of torrefaction. Excellent focus in the acidity, however; vibrant and crisp right on the entry with a light-to-medium body, cleansing texture and moderate acidity across the mid-palate. Wonderfully crisp and dry. A delicate, warming, mellow-pineapple note rounds out the finish.
It was a bit less aromatic than I remember when I first tasted this vintage in February, though that could just come down to bottle variation.
