Franc rocks!
- 2001 Couly-Dutheil Chinon La Baronnie Madeleine - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon (8/19/2006) 13,44€ 12,5% abv
What a delight! Vegetal, savoury, yet fruity nose with a bit of tobacco. The palate is still rather tannic, but with fine concentration of fruit, lots of acidity and herbs. Very savoury and long aftertaste. Perhaps the best cheapie I've had all year.

Nice note, Otto. Chinon rocks, because it's, well, got rocks in it ...
