We started off before dinner with a 1983 Burklin-Wolfe Eiswein Schurebe (sp?) which was excellent with deep straw color and lots of sweet botrytis flavors but not the sharp acidity I expected but still very well balanced and loved by all. With the dinner of coriander basted pork tenderloin (excellent) we had the 2008 Felton Road Pinot Noir which had sone very nice Pinot flavors but a slight prickly acidity that was unexpected. Maybe it needed more time. It also lacked any earthyness. We also opened a Kincaide Ridge 2008 Rhone blend of Viognier/Roussaine from Ohio with 14.8% abv, said to be one of the finest Ohio wines. It was very dry but full of herbal pear. It also may have needed a bit more time as it was a little astringent on the finnish but quite enjoyable. All-in-all a great meal and we will do the pork tenderloin with the coriander baste again for sure.
