WTN: 2006 Owen Roe "Lady Rosa" Syrah

Yakima Valley, Oregon.

This wine delivered one of the best matches to roasted turkey I've ever experienced! A beautifully concentrated syrah that highlights brightly, rich fruit with hints of raspberry, cranberry and herbs....who knew? My first Owen Roe wine, Wonderful! 14.1% Alc/vol. $32

He can make some wine, can't he? David does source a lot of fruit from Washington (the Yakima Valley's in Washington).

Yes, thanks, I misread skimming the back label. Produced and bottled Newberg, Oregon

Yes, a year later and I knew I had one more bottle in the cellar. Just wonderful. So concentrated yet there's a lift to the wine which draws you back for another taste. My wife, who prefers fruit driven wines, just loves this so she got a little more than her share yesterday. We drank this with a cheese and fruit course prior to Christmas dinner.

I recently purchased a bottle of Owen Roe Ex Umbris Syrah and look forward to opening it sometime this winter.
