2005 Marc Kreydenweiss Pinot Blanc Kritt Les Charmes (Andlau, Alsace AOC, eastern France) cork, 12.5% - imported to USA by Wilson Daniels, Santa Helena, California – smell faded honey and flowers, some juicy fruit, nice expressive nose, taste juicy, some mighty dry peach feel, crunchy and dry, crunchy herbal fun, amazing match for salty foods including pepperoni cheese and crackers, not a good match with sweeter dishes like crabmeat salad or chicken burgers, a whole lot of interesting and fun wine for sale at $10 on closeout. A great deal
2004 Schoenheitz Riesling Linsenberg (Alsace AOC, Haut-Rhin, Alsace, France) cork, 12.5% - imported by OZ Pacific Wines, Lawrence, Massachusetts – appears dark gold with embedded fitz, smell very reticent nose, not forthcoming, though more nose emerges over 2-3 days, very giving mouthfeel, flavors are coming together but this wine feels like it is just emerging from a long slumber, tangy-savory and very dry, I really liked the wine but bet it'd be even more interesting in a couple of years, very interesting wine for $13
