Christmas Wishes For All (With a Post-Christmas Add-On)

by Daniel Rogov » Mon Dec 21, 2009 11:25 am

With the advent of Christmas rapidly approaching, I can think of no better words to wish us all well, no matter what beliefs we hold, than those of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow*.

"I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

Very best wishes
Rogov

*The last line of the stanza taken of course from Luke 2:14 in the New Testament.

Best wishes to all! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

I'll talk to you in 2010. I'm not planning on using the PC much over the next two weeks.

May the Spirit of Christmas keep you young, make you wise.
May the child in your soul and the warmth in your heart never die.

Daniel,
Longfellow and St. Luke both express the feelings of good will much better than I ever could. Thanks for sending it, and your very best wishes. I too hope that all in every corner of the world that as 2009 ends, and 2010 begins, will feel the peace and goodness that brings such tranquility . And better yet, would it not be great if it could miraculously continue right on and never end.

Daniel, as a relative "newbie" to this board, but long time lurker, peace to you during this Season of Knowledge.

Merry Christmas to all. May your wines, your Christmas dinner and your company all be everything you could wish for. And if we can manage peace on earth and goodwill to all as well, so much the better.

Merry, Happy everybody.
I hope the New Year brings you all he successes you desire, on which you have made a down payment by the sweat of your brow. And I send up a special wish for the healing of our country and its many divisions.

If you don't mind, let's not kill all the lawyers. There are probably more than one of us here.

Hey, I'm in agreement with the lawyers and pols, but I work for a bank, remember. One that DIDN'T need to be bailed out, either.

Re: Christmas Wishes For All (A Post-Xmas Add-On)

by Daniel Rogov » Sat Dec 26, 2009 8:53 am

'Tis the day after Christmas and I am wondering about just who might be that fat, white bearded man sitting in my kitchen, feet up on a stool, thoroughly relaxed while sipping my Armagnac. I will not complain, however, for he seems jolly enough and he must be a good person. After all, he has put out ample food and water for the mini-herd of reindeer that seem to have settled in at least temporarily on the roof.

Best
Rogov
