Some recomendations from Chambers Street that you will probably find in Paris when you move there in January (I've tried the Peybonhommes and they are quite good):
Bellevue 2006 Lussac Saint-Emilion Les Griottes
"Les Griottes" is an all Merlot cuvée from Chateau de Bellevue, featuring soft, lush fruit with lovely cassis and berry aromas. Hand harvested, wild-yeast fermented and bottled un-filtered, this is a elegant and supple Bordeaux to drink now, serve slightly chilled.
Organic | $19.99
Brisson 2000 Cotes du Castillon
$19.99
Champs des Treilles 2006 Saint-Foy Bordeaux Le Petit Champ
Biodynamic farming, hand-harvesting into small boxes, wild yeast fermentations and low sulfur - it's unusual in Bordeaux but this wonderful estate (owned by Corinne and Jean-Michel Comme; he is the Technical Manager of Ch. Pontet-Canet) is producing delicious natural wines at very reasonable prices. The Petit Champ has pretty berry fruit aromas and a very chalky, mineral palate with some nice berry flavors in the finish - an interesting and food-friendly wine that's a great value.
Natural | $13.99
Clos Daviaud 2006 Montagne Saint-Emilion Cuvée de la Trilogie
Imported by Chambers Street directly, this is a lovely Bordeaux that features very pretty red fruit aromas and a medium-bodied earthy palate, unmarked by excessive new oak. An excellent value. The estate is in conversion to organic farming.
$18.99
Grolet 2004 Cotes de Bourg Tete de Cuvee
A strict selection of the oldest vines of Chateau La Grolet, 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a beautiful wine in 2004, more supple and round than the 2002, with ripe blackberry and cassis fruit along with coffee and tobacco. As always this shows more earth and mineral than other Bordeaux due to the Biodynamic farming (Certified Dememter) and natural fermentation. Drink now or hold for 8 to 10 years - a great Bordeaux value!
BioDynamic | $16.99
Peybonhomme-les-Tours 2005 Premières Cotes de Blaye Quintessence
The 2005 Quintessence is perhaps the best effort yet by the Huberts - lovely red fruit and subtle floral aromas, with ripe blackberry and cassis with licorice and cocoa on the palate. Elegant velvety tannins and a long earthy finish, this wine will make you smile and so will the price!
Organic | $16.99
Peybonhomme-les-Tours 2006 Premières Cote de Blaye Cru Bourgeois
Beautiful high-toned red currant and cassis fruit, the palate is ripe and supple with prune and cocoa added to the berry fruits. Lighter in weight but perhaps more food friendly than the excellent 2005 vintage. Proprietor Jean-Luc Hubert does fabulous work in the vineyard and has been certified organic by Ecocert for many years. A great Bordeaux that can be enjoyed by itself and will accompany a wide variety of cuisines...
Organic | $12.99
Tire Pe 2007 Bordeaux Tire Pe
Wow! A Bordeaux with fruit! Very pretty and complex berry fruit, that is, unfettered by new oak or over-extraction. This 100% merlot comes from an organically tended vineyard overlooking the Gironde and is a lovely food-friendly wine that should be served slightly cool.
$14.99
