2000 Domaine de Beaurenard (Paul Coulon et Fils) Châteauneuf-du-Pape Boisrenard
I don't think I see this going anywhere positive. While it still has some youthful fruit, it also has very drying tannins that completely overwhelm the finish. There is little to no aromatic or flavor development beyond that of young Chateauneuf, so it's not any more interesting than it was on release, just less balanced. A good enough drink with dinner, but no more. If I were a points giving man I might score it an S- on the A-Z scale.

High alcohol? Acidity any good?
"I went on a rigorous diet that eliminated alcohol, fat and sugar. In two weeks, I lost 14 days." Tim Maia, Brazilian singer-songwriter.

Alcohol and acidity were in balance. It's just very drying.
