I recently posted on the 2004 of this wine but found the 2006 also available here in Manila. I thought the 2004 was pretty good so I had to try this out.

Deep violet. Spicy, creamy nose. Ripe red berries, chocolate and a bit of mint and tobacco. The flavors echo the aromas on the nose. Lovely balance. I don't detect any oak at all. Later, coffee bean, espresso. Firm tannins and bright acidity give this wine structure and I suspect ability to age. Long, meaty, dry finish. This wine has presence! Excellent.

This is noticeably heftier and sweeter than the 2004. Both are good wines but I prefer this one.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
