WTN: Goat Door Chardonnay 2005

by Bruce Hayes » Thu Aug 17, 2006 7:45 am

From those "crazy" Goats do Roam people. Coastal Region, South Africa.

Light sulphur, vanilla, toasted wood, brown sugar on the nose.

Light-bodied, spicy, lemon, a hint of peach, slightly creamy, a little sweet (caramel and vanilla). Not exactly bursting with flavour.

Screwcap closure.

Bruce, I loved the name "Goat Door" ... and then I realized it was a play on Côtes d'Or.

I like goats ... especially for their milk, cheese and the nice curry goat stew that I make now and then :)
