Hallo und liebe Grüße aus Deutschland > VINO LOK GLAS Verschluss

by Ruth Winkel » Thu Aug 17, 2006 5:36 am

RUTH :D

Ruth,

Welcome to the board. My German is not nearly as good as your English, so forgive me for typing this reply in English.

We're glad to have you here, and look forward to hearing from you. Just for your information, we have many German wine fans here, and I am the head of a chapter of the German Wine Society, so we're very interested in what you have to say.

Willkommen, Ruth! As I told you in E-mail and as David said, most of us here don't speak fluent German. But we are happy to see you here and look forward to talking with you about wine as best we can.

Cool ....... I´m happy

by Ruth Winkel » Thu Aug 17, 2006 7:45 am

Many thanks!

My English is not especially good but I hope it suffices in order to communicate.
We have a small but very quality minded RIESLING-VINERY at Saar. (Mosel-Saar-Ruwer)

Are this year, (2005th) we fill with glass fastener<A> VINO LOK in bottles for the first time. I did not read anything here at all yet from that. It that one does not give any wines anymore near cork taste, one does not need any opener anymore and it looks very elegantly and nobly. Has of course also his price. What do you hold from that? As<A> this possibility is accepted in the USA...... of customers and wine manufacturers?

I already pursue are some time this forum and the discussions differ in part very much from those ones to read that with us in such forums are.

We practice the vinery with great passion and I can not get "INPUT" at all sufficiently. In the German forums it becomes currently a little boring...... therefore I look now what the neighbors do so.

I am very pleased with information<A> of You.

Many greetings
Ruth Winkel

Ruth,

I would be very pleased to try wines with the Vino-Lok closure. I have seen a few, but none at my local shops.

Are your wines exported to the USA?

Up to now we did not exported yet into the USA. That is very expensive.
We were already twice in fort Worth and sold some boxes there. However then still with cork.

We are in search of more favorable dispatch possibilities. A box (6 bottles) costs 42€ ONLY to send.

Welcome, Ruth.

My local retailer expects to have a wine under Vino-Lok available this week. I'm eager to try the new closure -- it looks very elegant.

For people who worry about losing tradition, it's well to remember that glass corks were used at least two hundred years ago. There are a couple of different explanations for why it didn't continue to be a closure of choice -- cost, and the variations in the bottle openings are often cited in the literature.

Again, welcome -- your English is just fine for me -- I can read German, but with great difficulty.

Regards, Bob

Beautiful..... this positive information pleases me!

Our motto is "it is also tradition, traditions to crushing ";O) only so it goes on!!
Profiting from the thinking of the generations and being open to presence and future!

The VINO LOK is in fact very great! .
It is hygienic, elegant, very easy to use and in a super way practical, to shut there one the bottle again. AND to a hundred percent taste-neutral. NEVER AGAIN CORK!

I would will send real with pleasure once something try to the - however the dispatch is twice as expensive as the box itself is. :O(((((

We sell even at Ebay.de (however up to now only in Germany, Luxembourg, Austria &
Belgium): http://members.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... ingweingut

Our web site is in the update...... I hopes they is in some days again online.

Internet is really cool! ;O)
You can give your local retailer my number ;O) Riesling from Wiltinger Kupp und Wiltinger Scharzberg with VINO LOCK *gggg* .... soooo cool....

"Kellermeister" and a wine maker from passion is my husband.
He says the predictions are very good.
We had indeed the last 2 weeks of rain here and the weather was bad BUT the heat is stayed and constant<A>, therefore the rain was not either from disadvantage.
We are proessionel for the Saar-Riesling the here in the Crooked steep slopes increases. I will go afterwards to the Wiltinger Kupp (3 minutes by car) and give you current data then. Fabulous...... would have thought never that I get here in fact a feedback.

I was in Basel before 6 Weeks. My uncle is also Winemaker in Meersburg/Bodensee

Ruth - Willkommen.

I don't speak German, but miraculously, I understood the majority of what you wrote. Maybe there's still hope for me to learn the language?

I hope that you stay as part of our community. It is good to have someone here from the land of the world's finest Riesling!

Hallo Ruth,

herzlich willkommen!

Von Bassermann in the Pfaltz has also started to use the Vino Lok system. I loved the glass 'cork' - it was very elegant and easy to open.

Ruth
