Good producer (not stellar),and a somewhat reasonable price for an intro the Chateauneuf du Pape. Personally I would look for Clos du Mont Olivet instead, but that's a favorite producer of mine.

In 1998, a well-regarded year in Chateauneuf, Pontifical made a wine I liked quite a bit.
I don't know just how I'm supposed to play this scene, but I ain't afraid to learn...

Like Steve said, I had a 1998 Pontifical this past summer and thought it a damn fine CdP that suited my palate just fine. I don't recall having other vintages from this producer.
