WTN: ESJ & Selbach with Asian food

by David M. Bueker » Sat Nov 28, 2009 10:41 am

Last night of the holiday with my folks at our local Asian BYO.

2007 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Spatlese 'Schmitt'
Fruit, acid & sugar all in balance. Easy to drink (Laura was quite surprised at how quickly she (mostly) and I drained the bottle). Perhaps not showing quite as vibrant as a few months back, but very fine nonetheless.

2007 Edmunds St. John Gamay Noir Bone-Jolly
Fruity, fresh, vibrant, slightly chalky and just a perfect foil for our ever so slightly spicy food choices from seafood to beef. Emminently slurpable!
