WTN: Nice Languedoc wine with dinner

Deep garnet red. Black raspberries, plums and a touch of oak on the nose. Luscious entry to the palate with blackberries, clean acidity, and silky tannins that give the wine nice body. Nice slightly bitter tannic tinge to the long finish of dark fruit.

With food: Great food wine that matched well with a linguini casserole with the wine both more earthy and fruity with the food. Nice match with french style crusty bread dipped in olive oil and balsamic vineagar.

Wine; Recolte 2006 La Reserve Corbieres. Domaine du Sainte-Eugenie. 13.5% abv. 40% carignan, 30% grenache, and 30% syrah. About $22. I wish I had more .
