WTN: Zonte's Footstep Shiraz-Viogner 2006

by Bruce Hayes » Sat Nov 21, 2009 2:48 pm

Langhorne Creek

Purple in the glass.

Black cherries on the nose.

Quite rich and full in the mouth, black cherry, light peach, good acidity, spicy, smoky, peppery, floral.

With time, the wine became thinner, sharper and displayed a prominent roasted-charred note.

Roasted on the finish.

To be honest, I don't really care for Viognier being added to Shiraz. I just can't figure out why I keep buying them!

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian)
