Had not tried this wine in years, but it was available at a semi-reasonable cost on a restaurant wine list while I was away on business. I was struck by the very fine balance and integration of this wine. It's nothing like so many modern zins that are all knees and elbows of fruit and alcohol to my taste. There's also a little bit of an herbal edge to the finish that I liked very much. A very enjoyable and food-friendly zin that I will be looking for in the future (thus returning to the past).
