The first impact was a strong and wonderful note of sweet cherry and a lot of yeast. In the back was a delicate mint, earthy wood ceder... and cork. In the mouth, secondary fermentation, vary well balance and vary ad stringent. After decanted every thing go to the right place...

In fact when i look the color I realize that the wine wasn't quite all right. That red brown and translucent with a lot of sedimentation and tartar... So the wine was a little corked, but i enjoy! Why??? Because that makes me remember the Gevrey Chambertin from bouchard aine fils 1982 that my grandpa opened many times in his house... Alway buchonet... but always he said... wonderful!!! so this became a strange reference of a vary good memory, with this taste vary well define.

About this wine, for sure i want to try another bottle! not the insipid flavor of a basic Borgone from the big producer...

I'm sorry your psyche had to transform water into wine! Better luck next time, for sure.

Technically speaking, TCA is either present in the wine or not. So corked is yes or no. However the levels of TCA can vary so the wine can taste more or less of TCA. Some people don't mind drinking wines that have relatively low levels of TCA because they can still taste some of the fruit, but others reject all wines with any TCA because the product is compromised.

But the brown color doesn't necessarily mean that it was corked, that sounds like an oxidized wine. Perhaps from a cork that let in too much air.

Either way, sounds like this was a highly damaged and highly complex bottle for you!

Thanks Rahsaan,
When you talk about oxidation i remember that the cork was little infiltred on the top... so probably this is the case... and for sure I can drink it, was complex... but still enjoyable!
